Perrier-Jouët

The Perrier-Jouët Maison was founded in 1811 in Epernay, in the heart of the Champagne region, following the marriage of Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Adèle Jouët. For over two centuries, Perrier-Jouët has stood for the most elegant and sophisticated craftsmanship, generating champagne of an unmistakable style: fresh, floral and extremely soft and multifaceted, thanks to the predominance of the superb Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs.

At the top of the Cru scale, the Maison Perrier-Jouët covers 65 hectares of vines scattered between Côte des Blancs (Cramant and Avize), Montagne de Reims (Mailly) and Val-de-Marne (Aÿ and Dizy), and their grapes are always present in all cuvées (with the exception of Blanc de Blancs, of course, which is 100% Chardonnay), thus giving them a very particular balance and persistence.

This winemaker has also been at the forefront of ensuring traceability and in the fight against counterfeiting, being the first to indicate the year of the vintage on its bottles.

Perrier-Jouët stands not only for refinement and savoir-faire but also Art Nouveau. Its bottle for the Belle Epoque cuvées, designed in 1902 by Émile Gallé, are unique and deservedly famous. Gallé chose the sinuous shape of the gold-lined anemones to express the elegance of the Maison’s Champagne and the joie de vivre of an entire era. The original designs are kept in the historic Epernay headquarters.

Champagne Perrier-Jouët welcomes its friends and VIP guests to the Maison Belle Epoque, a true ‘family home’ and treasure chest containing the most important private collection in Europe of Art Nouveau-style pieces.

Hervé Deschamps has been Chef de Caves since 1993.
