Philipponnat

Maison which is among the great names of Champagne, founded in 1522 in Mareuil-sur-Ay, had the privilege of supplying the King of France Louis XIV, maintaining this role over the centuries.
Philipponnat today owns 20 hectares of property, with vineyards located in Mareuil, Ay, Mutigny and Avenay. The maximum excellence of the vineyards is identified with the “Clos des Goisses” monopoly: approximately 5 hectares with a steep slope, extremely suitable, in fact the grapes are used for the production of a vintage, even in unfavorable years. The historic label of the maison was born from this vineyard, a priceless treasure.
Today at the reins we find Charles Philipponnat, heir of the family who continues the tradition with passion while maintaining the name and prestige of the Maison high.
Recognizable and inimitable style of savoir-faire both in the vineyard and in the cellar: scrupulous management attentive to environmental sustainability and reserve wines aged in wood with the solera method.
Today we therefore continue following the philosophy of the ancestors, with a production of champagne extremely balanced between freshness and structure, complexity and minimal dosages.
Rightfully among the iconic producers to be absolutely tried by all champagne enthusiasts.
