Salon

Salon means only one thing: a champagne, a terroir, a vintage. The company today is in fact one of the few wineries to produce a single label and only in excellent and deserving vintages.
In particular, a vintage champagne is produced, Blanc de Blancs from pure Chardonnay, produced by the vinification of grapes coming from the Grand Cru Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs.
The history of this Maison begins thanks to Eugène-Aimé Salon who purchased a vineyard in Le Mesnil, because he was deeply enchanted by this area and the terroir, with the idea of creating a unique Champagne, from a single variety.
The first champagne was produced around 1905, but almost exclusively for personal pleasure. But within a very short time the wine was liked, had excellent feedback and spread, so much so that Aimé finally decided to found the Maison Salon, around 1911. He remained at the helm of his company until 1943, the year of his death. Today Salon is part of the Laurent-Perrier group, thanks to Bernard de Nonancourt who, trying a bottle, fell in love with it, and decided in 1988 to become the custodian of the same company, to continue the production of these magnificent champagnes.
Champagne therefore renowned for its extreme refinement and elegance, unique and internationally renowned.
