The success of Tua Rita, founded in 1984 by Virgilio and Rita in Suvereto (Livorno), is a perfect amalgam of passion for wine, love of the land, and intuition and talent in grasping and giving substance to the unexpressed potential of Val Cornia.
A little over thirty years later, Tua Rita has gone from the initial 2 hectares to 30 and can be considered one of the most successful examples of Italian vin de garage – extremely high-quality micro-production – where production processes are exclusively artisanal.
The philosophy regarding the vineyard is respectful of the earth and biodiversity and finds concrete application in the adoption of strictly organic practices. In the cellar this translates into a non-interventionist approach that fully expresses the character of the grapes and their territory of origin.
The result are wines, such as Redigaffi or Per Sempre, with unmistakable and unique varieties of aromas that reflect, with great charm, the particular characteristics of the territory between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the metalliferous hills of Tuscany.
Tua Rita’s name is a declaration of love but also, simply, Rita’s name and surname reversed.
