Uberti

The Uberti family is one of the historic wine-growing families of Franciacorta. Founded in 1793 in Salem (Erbusco), the family completely revolutionised their cellar in the early 1980s, under the guidance of Giovanni Agostino and his wife Eleonora Uberti, becoming, over the course of a few decades, one of the most prestigious names in Franciacorta.
Building on an initial 9 hectares, the vineyard now encompasses 25 hectares that produce 180,000 bottles annually, the result of a respectful and strictly organic approach to the land and the vineyard: no herbicides or chemical fertilisers are used, the oldest plants are well nurtured and the vineyards receive artisanal care. Consistently, the same non-interventionist philosophy can also be found in the cellar, where vinification is carried out in stainless steel, barriques or oak vats and ageing on the lees can last up to 72 months.
This is how Franciacorta Uberti wines are born: simultaneously elegant, balanced and complex.
