NVDescrizione
The Brut perfectly embodies the “De Castellane” style. A combination of elegance and pleasure. The maison’s long tradition of quality is reflected in this wine and demonstrates the richness and finesse of its style.
De Castellane is today owned by Laurent-Perrier, but it all dates back to Viscount Florens de Castellane, heir of one of the oldest families in France who founded the maison in Epernay. On the label the brand logo represents the red cross of Saint Andrew, in homage to the oldest regiment in the Champagne region.
Blending of grapes representative of Champagne, vinified separately and then also combined with approximately 15% of reserve wines. The must ferments in steel tanks and then refines according to the traditional Champenoise method for at least 24 months on the yeasts before disgorgement, where it is dosed in brut (about 9 g/l) and released to the public, after about 3 months of rest in bottle.
When tasted, the Brut presents itself with a particularly brilliant pale gold appearance, accompanied by a fine carbonation.
A floral attack emerges on the nose which brings back a bouquet of fresh white flowers, hints of fresh fruit and brioche, all of which gives the wine finesse and elegance. In the mouth the sip is fresh, balanced with creaminess, hints of vanilla emerge, the white fruits are enhanced and a touch of gingerbread emerges. A great cleanliness closes the sip accompanied by an excellent persistence.
A champagne suitable for any occasion, but which will always surprise with its elegance, reflecting De Castellane’s timeless style combined with the savoir faire of Laurent-Perrier.
