Talking about Lorenzo Accomasso is like approaching with great reverential awe the elite of Italian viticulture, that of strong traditions, of morbid attachment (in a positive way) to one’s own land and vineyard, that of ? “it’s fine the way it is and you can’t change it?” and of ? “first in wine, then the market?”, a native blood that is hard to find anywhere but in the microcosm of La Morra.

How many times Cavaliere has turned away people, curious and interested, who on the skin of their teeth did not seem to respect his world, his life, his land made up of three very precious hectares on which Nebbiolo expresses itself on perfect levels.

Real wines those of Accomasso, reflecting the tradition of La Morra but also speaking a language that is always current, never outdated or burdened.

On the other hand, Cavaliere has always seen it through and is accustomed to unusual practices in the vineyard, such as short pruning to the detriment of production in quantity, while in the winery they have always followed the family dictates and the path traced by his father Giovanni (long macerations and aging in large barrels).

A special vineyard is that of this reserve, the Rocche dell?Annunziata cru, which insists on medium clay soils with predominantly southern exposure.

It is an elegant, refined, generous and still young wine considering its great evolutionary potential and to a present but fresh tannin. The breadth of both nose and taste intoxicates the taster, and the long, balsamic finish fills it out and makes it happy.
