2022Descrizione
Renitens is the result of the experimental project of Nicola Biasi, an internationally renowned oenologist, who freed himself from working in the cellar for third parties, after having made several Italian companies great, to concentrate on his own project which was certainly ambitious but also scientifically important.
“Resistenti di Nicola Biasi” currently includes the 6 founding wineries of the project (represented on the label by the 6 colored lines), spread between Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Trentino and Veneto and each produces a wine following the stylistic choices of the winemaker and the producing companies themselves, as well as the refinement that differs based on the winemaking choices.
Once the right amount of time has passed, Nicola’s expert hand chooses the cut, Renitens is the result of the blend of the union of different terroirs and different realities united by the same passion and ethics for the resistant varieties, the Piwi. Generally, among the wines that compose it, approximately 30% are refined in barrique.
At tasting, the wine has a deep yellow colour, on the nose a succession of aromas: delicate notes of orange blossom, then apricot, mango and lime, and again almonds and basil on a background with hints of boxwood, flowers of magnolia and hawthorn. On the sip it has a full body and structure, with a long, savory and fragrant finish. Totally enjoyable now, but suitable for aging.
Perfect if you are looking for something new, never tried before, with a story behind it to tell!
