Although born to best express the fruity and mineral character of Falanghina, Via Del Campo does not stop there: it surprises you with intensity, persuasiveness, personality…but let’s go in order.

With an homage to De Andrè, underscoring precisely the ambition to ennoble a wine, Falanghina, often improperly overshadowed by its neighbors Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, Via Del Campo is a cru from a five-hectare organic vineyard. The terroir, with clay/limestone soils and a 360-meter exposure, does the trick, and the brief and partial passage in wood does the rest: the surprising structure of this wine is already apparent on the nose, where it ranges from the fruitiness of pear and pineapple to the floral of hawthorn and herbs, typical of the hills around Mirabella Eclano. Fruit and flowers converge from nose to mouth in an exciting balance of acidity and minerality. A few tertiary notes of toastiness, given by aging in wood, enhance the whole.

The freshness of this wine will evolve over time giving us unprecedented sensations; the magnum size (just 160 examples!) is the ideal choice to ensure the best aging.
