Descrizione

From a winery of excellence in Franciacorta, one can only expect that each wine in its production reflects the best of the quality of the work done both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The Cuvée Rosé Francesco I does not disappoint expectations and expectations by presenting itself as a pleasant expression of the Franciacorta territory and an interpreter of the message that Uberti wants to convey to its customers with this cuvée.

Sourced from vineyards about 15 years old grown between the villages of Erbusco, Adro and Calino di Cazzago San Martino, in the foothills south of Lake Iseo and on soils of morainic origin, rich in skeleton and minerals, following a rigorous in-plant selection the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes follow different paths in steel before blending, with the Pinot Noir spending a few days in contact with the skins for color setting. Once assembled and after the draught, which typically occurs in the Spring, Franceso I Rosé spends a minimum of thirty months on the lees before disgorging and an additional six months in the bottle before release to the public at a dosage of 7 gr/liter.

With a candy pink color and orange highlights in the glass, decidedly bright and with a perlage fine and persistent, the Francesco I Rosé opens on the olfactory examination with definite red fruit notes such as strawberry and citrus fruits such as pink grapefruit, a clear chalky and iodine note and a spicy closure reminiscent of pink pepper and cinnamon. On the sip, great freshness and minerality emerge but also an underlying softness that make for easy drinking and call for a new glass, before closing with a light spicy aftertaste.

The Franceso I Rosé is a versatile, jaunty, modern classic method that winks at everyday consumption while maintaining a clear Franciacorta identity and fully conveying the Uberti philosophy, down to the last bubble.
