Descrizione

As noble as the origins of the Valentini family, who have been settled in Abruzzo since the 17th century and have given many prominent figures to the local community, Trebbiano is one of Italy’s most important whites, already awarded the title of Italy’s best wine in 2011 for the 2007 vintage.

The ultimate expression of one of the most widely grown white grapes in Central Italy, Valentini’s Trebbiano has rightfully become a legendary wine, the kind to be jealously guarded in the cellar and handed down to one’s own generations for wine education purposes. Historic because it has been cultivated for hundreds of years in the Aprutino area and by successive generations of the Valentini family over the centuries, it fully conveys the artisan philosophy of Francesco Paolo, now at the helm of the company. Manual harvesting, exclusive use of the best bunches, spontaneous fermentation, indigenous yeasts, uncontrolled temperature, no clarification or filtration: these are just some of the typical steps behind what lies behind this masterpiece, marked by complexity, generosity and breadth, with a very long, acidic and savory finish confirming the great aging potential.
