Inspired by the wonderful story told by Vincenzo Zappalà, ‘Aeroplan Servaj’ means ‘wild airplane’ in the Langarolo dialect. More importantly, it’s the nickname that Domenico gave his son, thanks to his endless dreaming and flights of imagination, his insatiable desire to go ever further … An ambition that led him to produce extraordinary, sought-after wines that are absolutely unique and multifaceted, just like Aeroplanservaj.

Recognised as one being one of the most excellent examples of Barolo DOCG, Aeroplanservaj is the fruit of Domenico Clerico’s vines, which have at least twenty-five years’ worth of history. The result is a robust red wine with depth that is aged in barriques for 24-36 months and has significant ageing potential.

To truly appreciate its extraordinary qualities, it can be left to rest in the cellar for over twenty years.

Of a garnet red colour, this wine has an enveloping fragrance with notes of spicy undergrowth, raspberries and strawberries, floral aromas and dried rose petals. It is soft, balanced and round on the palate. Firm but sweetly velvety, it leaves behind a pleasant sense of freshness.
