Descrizione

Roberto Voerzio’s Barolo Torriglione is considered one of the noblest and most refined red wines produced in Piedmont. It is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from a prestigious vintage in the Langhe region, an area with a calling for producing the best of these grapes.

It requires about two years to mature, first in barriques and subsequently in large oak barrels, followed by a lengthy ageing process in steel and then finally in the bottle.

Its intense garnet red colour is accented by striking ruby reflections in the glass. The nose opens elegantly with fruity aromas, notes of ripe spices, but also hints of white truffle, cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it is dense and persistent, accompanied by defined and well-structured tannin.

Barolo Torriglione is a deeply satisfying wine of extraordinary purity that ages beautifully: it is in fact recommended that it be left to age for at least another 5 to 6 years in the bottle, but it can also evolve for a further 20 to 30 years.
