Descrizione

The “Les Vignes de Bisseuil” champagne by Egly-Ouriet is a blend of 80% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier each, with grapes coming from vineyards in the village of Bisseuil, classified Premier Cru.

The manually harvested grapes ferment between steel and French oak wood, after assembly, the wine ages on the yeasts for over 4 years. At the time of disgorgement, the dosage remains very low, with around 2 g/L, to enhance the terroir of origin.

In the glass it is straw yellow in color with golden hues, accompanied by a fine and persistent bubble. On the nose, intense aromas of citrus fruits, white and yellow fruit, hints of white flowers, accompanied by a light note of almond, small pastries and sweet spices. In the mouth the fresh and energetic sip also offers a marked flavor. Balanced and juicy champagne.

A champagne where the producer’s personality is perfectly identifiable, despite the challenge of using the majority Chardonnay grape, not commonly used throughout the rest of the products.
